Welcome to the Matthew Baldwin Foundation

The Matthew Baldwin Foundations a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about lawn mower safety.

I founded this non-profit foundation some time after my four year old son, Matthew, was involved in a lawn mower accident and lost his right leg above the knee.

After the accident there was so much confusion on what to do and who would help. My hope is that through the Matthew Baldwin Foundation I can help others going through similar situations find information and support.

The organization's goals include educating people about lawn mower safety, raising awareness of child amputees and assisting amputee people with support groups and information regarding products and resources that are available for them.
