Since Matthew's accident, I have realized that having a strong network of people to talk to about what Matthew is going through has helped me tremendously in turning this tragedy into a learning experience. As a parent of a child that has lost a limb, I have found that talking with parents in similar situations has helped me understand my feelings are normal and to better understand what to expect during Matthew's recovery.
